MEDACS can be used with almost any sensor to measure differential.

In this common application in rivers and waterways, two level sensors measure level up and down stream of a weed screen. Rising up upstream differential indicates screen blockage, whereby a relay contact closure initiates a weed screen rake to activate, clearing the screen. Rake is deactivated on regaining zero differential.
