The SEM1720 is a dual channel signal conditioner designed to accept RTD, Thermocouple or Potentiometer sensors and provide isolated, industrial process output signals in mA or Voltage.
Each output channel may be linked to either an input sensor or to a maths function of both sensor signals. For example, difference, sum, average, sensor redundancy can be programmed as a function of the two inputs.
It can also be used as a splitter, dual channel isolator and has a user non linear feature to allow the output to follow an output non linear to the input signal. Then, if required you could do maths functions on the linearised outputs such as average, difference etc.
The product is configured using free software that allows the user to configure the device without requiring
calibration equipment. Maths functions on each channel can be set up using the software as well as a 22-segment
profile tool. Input / output simulation tools for diagnostic purposes are also available.
Eight preset configurations can be programmed into the product. These are selected by a dip switch behind the front panel and allows the user to select a configuration without using a PC.
